# How to create a follow-up live while taking notes

## Log a follow-up the moment it's decided, without interrupting the meeting.

When a commitment is made during a meeting, you can turn it into a follow-up right away, while taking notes, without waiting for the minutes to be finalized.

1. While taking notes, find the **discussion point** in question.

2. Click the **follow-up** icon next to the note.

3. Fill in the follow-up description.

4. Assign an owner and a due date, then click "**Create**".

The follow-up created stays linked to the original note and automatically appears in your centralized follow-up list once the meeting ends.
